2016 – Dave Lachiondo playing in the Basque Museum first thursdays.

David Lachiondo is the son of Julian Lachiondo, an important figure in the Boise Basque community and a passionate advocate of Basque music. Julian owned one of biggest collections of Basque records in Boise and he was the first host of the Voice of the Basque Program. 

David has played accordion over the years with Ray Mansisidor and other musicians at the Basque Museum and Cultural Center First Thursday jam sessions. He also has accompanied the Biotzetik Basque Choir with traditional folk songs. He teaches classes through the Basque Studies Program at Boise State University and has been a speaker on Basque history for the Idaho Humanities Council Speakers’ Bureau. David has recordings on Basque Music of Boise I and II. Currently he also accompanies the Boiseko Gazteak dancers as an accordion player.
