Join us April 2 at 6pm at the Basque Museum for a special presentation by accomplished poet Leire Bilbao.
Leire, born in the coastal town of Ondarroa, was an award winning bertsolari in her youth and is now the author of several poetry collections including, Between Fish Scales, her English-language debut. Her work has been described as a “visceral view of motherhood, work life, and plural desire in a maritime landscape, both hyper-real and eerily anthropomorphic.” This event is in collaboration with BSU.
Leire will share a few selected poems and will also speak about her life in the Basque Country as a poet.
This event is in collaboration with Boise State University and will be catered by Ansots.
This event is free and open to all!
