SUMMARY:Talo Cooking Class with Chef Asier!
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a night of wine\, food\, and friends as Chef Asier leads a talo cooking class. We serve talo and chorizo for our Eguberriko Azoka and the crowds love it! Now is the time to learn to make it for your guests at home! \nClass will begin at 6pm where Chef Asier will demonstrate how to prepare talo and then we will cook them to eat with delicious\, fresh\, and authentic Basque Chorizo. \nWhat is Talo? \nTalo is a traditional Basque Corn Flatbread made from corn flour\, water\, and salt and cooked on a hot metal plank. Talo is more than food- it is a symbol of Basque identity and rural tradition. It is enjoyed at festivals\, family gatherings\, or on the street. It is a simple and cherished part of Basque cuisine. \nAbout Chef Asier Garcia: \nAsier was born and raised in the Basque Country where he studied culinary arts and trained with Michelin awarded Martin Berastegui. His curiosity led him to every corner of the Basque Country\, from the northern city of Biarritz to the mountain town of Morga\, the coastal port of Lekeitio\, and the capital Bilbao. Asier moved to America and worked at some of the best restaurants in Boise. Now you can find Chef Asier working his magic in the kitchen of Leku Ona! \nClass Registration Fee: $35 non-members and $30 for members.  \n***Email abbyg@basquemuseum.eus for the discount code! \nPURCHASE HERE: https://www.shopbasquemuseum.com/product/talo-making-class/63K4YVAE7OJPU63KFOVDQ5FG?cp=true&sa=false&sbp=false&q=false&category_id=XNZJ3KIFXAPSSQ2JUHDYKXXV \n  \n
